SHREVEPORT – A Shreveport woman alleges her former Baton Rouge employer retaliated against her after she reported sexual harassment.

Zanita Phillips filed a complaint on June 6 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana, Shreveport Division against Spireon Inc. alleging that the foreign corporation violated Title VII of the Civil Rights Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges she was sexually harassed by her supervisor via unwanted phone calls and text messages. She alleges that after she reported the harassment, defendant's management doubled her sales quotas and denied earned commissions. The plaintiff alleges that, as a result of defendant's inactions the plaintiff complaints to her complaints, she resigned her position on June 1, 2016. 

The plaintiff holds Spireon Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly constructively terminated by the retaliatory treatment she received.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory and punitive damages, plus interest, attorney fees, costs of this action and such other relief as the court finds equitable. She is represented by J. Broocks Greer III of Broocks Greer Attorney at Law in Shreveport.
