Ditech Financial claims deceased man failed to pay over $165,000 on promissory note

GRETNA – A financial group is seeking damages for sums due.

Ditech Financial LLC filed a suit June 22 against Philip J. Lefebvre, also known as Philip Joseph Lefebvre, in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging sums due.

According to the claim, the plaintiff issued the defendant a promissory note for the balance of $185,000. The suit states that the defendant died and failed to pay off the balance of the note before his death. The balance owed to the plaintiff remains $165,068.39 plus interest.

The defendant is accused of sums due.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Jason R. Smith of Dean Morris LLC in Monroe.

The case has been assigned to Division O Judge Danyelle M. Taylor.
