Louisiana State University alleges Orleans Parish woman failed to pay over $5,500

NEW ORLEANS – A university is seeking more than $5,500 from an Orleans Parish resident.

Louisiana State University Board of Supervisors through Louisiana State University filed a lawsuit July 3 against Shani M. Moore in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging sums due on a promissory note.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking payment of an unpaid promissory note which they issued to the defendant. The suit states that the defendant has failed to pay off the balance of the note which is at $5,852.49 plus interest.

The defendant is accused of sums due.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Meghan N. Beal of Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division G Judge Robin M. Giarrusso.
