LAFAYETTE – A Lafayette Parish resident alleges that he was subjected to sexual harassment during his employment with a Broussard employer.

Blake Broussard filed a complaint on June 26 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana, Lafayette Division against Linear Controls, Blake Stevens, Archie Mouton and Daniel Harris alleging that they violated Title VII of the Civil Rights Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that beginning in January 2015, he was subjected to sexual harassment and unreasonable intrusions of privacy from the defendants. He alleges he reported the conduct in April 2015 and was later terminated for filing reports of the harassment.

The plaintiff holds Linear Controls, Stevens, Mouton and Harris responsible because the defendants allegedly deprived him of his rights to be free from discriminatory intimidation, ridicule and insult and unlawfully terminated his employment in retaliation for filing reports of sexual harassment.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory and exemplary damages, court costs, interest, attorney’s fees and any further relief to which he may be entitled. He is represented by L. Clayton Burgess of L. Clayton Burgess APLC in Lafayette.
