Condo owners in French Quarter accuse Juneau Odenwald Inc., Watford Specialty Insurance Company of negligence

NEW ORLEANS – Two condominium owners are suing Juneau Odenwald Inc. and Watford Specialty Insurance Company for alleged negligence.

Stephen Maitland-Lews and Kyle Cox filed a lawsuit July 6 in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging that their properties were damaged by a rainstorm.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs are the owners of condominium unit No. 3 and No. 8 at 920 St. Louis St. in New Orleans. The plaintiffs allege that their condos were damaged by water in September 2016, and that the defendants allegedly were responsible for the leaking that occurred during the storm. 

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Stephen D. Marx of Chehardy, Sherman, Williams, Murray, Recile, Stakelum & Hayes LLP in Metairie.
