Orleans Parish woman claims she was injured after slipping at a Walmart

NEW ORLEANS – An Orleans Parish woman claims that she was caused to slip and fall in a Walmart.

Cynthia M. Cruell filed a lawsuit against Wal-Mart Stores Inc. in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident which took place Aug. 11, 2016, at a Walmart in New Orleans. The suit states that the defendant had failed to clean up an unknown substance, which the plaintiff slipped and fell on.

The defendant is accused of negligence by failing to warn of the mess, failing to clean it up and overall negligence of management.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Kevin W. Doyle of the Law Offices of Kevin W. Doyle and Associates in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division C Judge Sidney H. Cates IV.
