Driver accused of negligence in New Orleans crash

NEW ORLEANS – An Orleans Parish driver claims his car was rear-ended by a negligent motorist.

Stephen Bobo filed a lawsuit against USAA General Indemnity Co., Brian Ulmer of Orleans Parish and Progressive Insurance Co. in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was driving his car May 3 and was stopped at Elk Place in New Orleans. The suit states that Ulmer struck the back of the plaintiff's car.

The defendant is accused of negligence by failing to watch where he was going, failing to use appropriate care and overall carelessness and negligence in driving.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Robert L. Manard of Robert L. Manard PLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Piper D. Griffin.
