Credit union claims Jefferson Parish woman owes over $1,000 on note

GRETNA – A credit union is seeking sums due on a promissory note.

Department of Corrections Credit Union filed a suit against Denita Jones of Jefferson Parish in the 24th Judicial District Court, alleging sums due on a promissory note.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking payment of a promissory note for $1,388.67 plus interest. The original balance on the note was $2,280.29, the suit states.

The defendant is accused of owing sums due.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Charles E. Spedale of Newman, Mathis, Brady & Spedale in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division P Judge Lee V. Faulkner Jr.
