Customer seeks damages for injury sustained at Legends Cafe

NEW ORLEANS – A customer claims that a wooden beam fell and struck him on the head.

Linder Andrews filed a lawsuit December 20 against Legends New Orleans LLC in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident which took place on June 10, 2017. The suit states that the plaintiff was at the defendant's property when a wooden beam fell from the ceiling and struck the plaintiff, causing sever injuries.

The defendant is accused of negligence and failure to maintain the premises.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney J. Benjamin Avin of Irpino, Avin & Hawkins Law Firm in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Henry G. Sullivan.
