Capital One trying to collect more than $10,000 in past due payments

GRETNA – Capital One Bank (USA), NA filed a lawsuit June 1 against Awatif B. Hanna in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging amounts are owed by the defendant under an open credit card account.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages in the amount of $10,561.76 plus interest. The bank alleges that the defendant has failed to pay off the balance due on the credit card in question.

Capital One is seeking payment of all reasonable sums due, attorney's fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Paul S. Brennan of Couch, Conville & Blitt LLC in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Henry G. Sullivan Jr.
