GRETNA – The state of Louisiana claims it is owed $30,000 from a resident who misused grant funds.
The State of Louisiana Division of Administration Office of Community Development Disaster Recovery Unit filed a complaint Feb. 25 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Ira Rosetta Cotton aka Ira Cotten Fisher.
According to the complaint, Cotton misused a government grant and now owes the state $30,000.
The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. It is represented by John C. Walsh of Shows, Cali & Walsh LLP in Baton Rouge.
