Patient claims physical therapist worsened his ankle's condition

GRETNA – A man is suing a physical therapy clinic, alleging the treatment it prescribed worsened his situation.

Allen Walker filed a complaint on April 22 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Lakeshore Physical Therapy Contract Services and Michael Hafner Jr., PT.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place after the plaintiff was seen by the defendant on March 21 for ankle instability. The plaintiff was placed on a treatment plan but alleges the defendant placed an ice sock on the plaintiff too tightly, making the condition worse.

The defendant is accused of negligence and breach in standard of care.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Henry Sullivan Jr.
