Felicia Carmouche sues The United States of America for damages from a car accident

Felicia Carmouche has filed a lawsuit against The United States of America, specifically the United States Postal Service (USPS), in the United States District Court, Western District of Louisiana. The case, identified as 6:24-cv-00548, was filed on April 29, 2024. The suit is a petition for damages following an accident involving Carmouche and a USPS employee.

Carmouche alleges that on May 2, 2022, while driving her vehicle in Lafayette, Louisiana, she was involved in an accident with Brenton Terrance, a USPS employee. According to the court filing, Terrance was found at fault for the accident and cited for Failure to Yield by responding officers. Carmouche suffered severe injuries including damages to her knee, neck and back along with bruising and abrasions.

The plaintiff is seeking compensatory damages for physical pain and suffering - past, present and future; mental pain, anguish and distress - past, present and future; medical expenses - past, present and future; loss of enjoyment of life - past, present and future; disability- past, present and future; property damages and loss of use. Rodger “Rory” G. Green Jr., is designated as trial counsel for all issues raised in this case.
