NEW ORLEANS – A Louisiana social services company is suing a nonprofit for allegedly terminating a work contract improperly, and then hiring a social worker recently employed by the company in violation of a pre-existing work agreement between the company and the nonprofit.
GRETNA – A commercial landlord is being sued by the employee and member of a local restaurant after he was allegedly sickened due to exposure to mold that built up in the premises due to the improper repair of the building following Hurricane Katrina.
NEW ORLEANS – A whistleblower who says he worked on the independent audit of the Deepwater Horizon claims facility completed by accounting firm McGladrey LLP has made allegations that the settlement process is far more dysfunctional and susceptible to fraud than reported in the publicly released audit.
