DONALDSONVILLE – An East Baton Rouge man is suing a pair of business partners for defaulting on a loan.

Waleed Farah filed suit on Jan. 20 in the 23rd Judicial District Court against J.B. Chicken Enterprises.

Farah alleges the co-owners of J.B. have not been repaying loans he provided to them. The plaintiff claims the Ascension Parish-based co-owners Gerard Michael Zimmerle, the registered owner of Z's Family Food Mart in Gonzales, and William Earl Straite, II refused to pay loans he provided them with at the agreed upon rate of $800 a month each. The plaintiff alleges the men did not respond to requests for payment after they neglected to continue payment on the loans that were to be repaid over 18 monthly installments by October 2012.

Farah is seeking damages in the amount of $26,750 for the balance of the unpaid loans plus 25 percent in attorney's fees.

Farah is being represented by Prairieville attorney Rad A. Heroman.

The case has been assigned to Division E Judge Alvin Turner, Jr.
