Tanning salon sued by woman allegedly injured near store's entrance

J. Bart Kelly, III

GRETNA – A Jefferson Parish woman is suing a Westwego tanning salon and its owners for injuries she claim to have received in a fall on the premises.

Leslie Danhour and her husband Joshua Danhour filed suit against Java Tan, LLC, Bilgus Properties, LLC, Gustave J. Watkins, William G. Watkins, IV and Julie Wolf Watkins in the 24th Judicial District Court on Aug. 20. Danhour claims she was walking out of Java Tan located at 1091 Avenue H in Westwego when she fell on the steps directly outside of the store. The plaintiff alleges she received serious injuries to her entire body including a fractured right fibula that required surgical repair.

An unspecified amount in damages is sought for physical pain and suffering, mental pain and suffering, medical expenses, permanent disability and loss of wages and earning capacity.

Danhour is represented by New Orleans-based attorney J. Bart Kelly, III.

The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Raymond S. Steib.

Case no. 718-359.
