GRETNA – A Plaquemines Parish woman is being sued by a Gretna-based law firm for failure to pay for services rendered in a child custody case.
Beevers and Beevers LLC filed suit against Windi Mason in the 24th Judicial District Court on Oct. 1. Beevers and Beevers claims it entered into an agreement on Aug. 22, 2011 with Mason to provide legal representation for her in a child custody case. The plaintiff claims the defendant agreed to a rate of $350 per hour and that it is owed $10,616.79 for the services.
The defendant is accused of breach of contract.
Damages in the amount of $10,616.79 plus legal interest, attorney's fees in the amount of 25 percent and the cost of court proceedings is requested by the plaintiff.
