GRETNA – A Jefferson Parish woman is suing a local grocery store for injuries she claims she received in a fall on their premises.

Dorothy Albers filed suit against Winn-Dixie Montgomery LLC and Winn-Dixie Montgomery Leasing in the 24th Judicial District Court on Jan. 22.

Albers claims she was shopping at the Winn-Dixie located at 5901 Airline Highway in Metairie when she slipped and fell in a puddle of liquid. The plaintiff alleges she suffered severe and traumatic injuries in the fall.

An unspecified amount in damages is sought for pain and suffering, lost wages, medical expenses and loss of earning capacity.

Albers is represented by attorney Thomas E. Campbell of Metairie.
