NEW ORLEANS – A Chalmette woman is suing medical testing company claiming that she fell on a broken sidewalk adjacent to its building and suffered severe bodily injury.

Rebecca Brown filed a lawsuit against Diagnostic Imaging Services Inc. and Touro Infirmary Foundation on March 13 in the Orleans Parish Central District Court.

Brown claims that while leaving the premises of the defendant’s establishment, she fell on a broken sidewalk located adjacent to the building which resulted in the fracture of both ankles, numerous contusions to her body and blood clots to her lungs.

An unspecified amount is sought for medical expenses, loss wages, pain and suffering, emotional stress, permanent residual disability and loss of enjoyment of life.

Counsel for the plaintiff is Darleen M. Jacobs of New Orleans.

This case has been assigned to Division J Judge Paula A. Brown.
