GRETNA – A restaurant chain is being sued by a tile company subcontractor for alleged non-payment for work done on a recently constructed Metairie restaurant.

C&D Quality Masonry Inc. filed suit against NOLA Wings Veterans LLC, Compleat Hospitality Management LLC and their insurer in the 24th Judicial District Court on July 18.

C&D Quality Masonry Inc. claims that they entered into a contract to perform masonry labor for NOLA Wings Veterans LLC and Compleat Hospitality Management on the construction of a Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant on Veteran’s Blvd. in Metairie. The plaintiff alleges the work was free of defects and all work was performed in accordance to plans and that the work was maintained within the property. C&D Quality Masonry Inc. claims that the contractor who it worked with disbanded after the job and still owed them $13,157.50.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

Damages in the amount of $13,157.50 are sought for failing to remit payment, penalties, costs and attorney’s fees.

C&D Quality Masonry Inc. is represented by Michael S. Blackwell of New Orleans-based Shields Mott Lund LLP.

The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Michael P. Mentz.

Case no. 729-066.
