NEW ORLEANS – A local nonprofit is being sued by an IT service provider for failure to pay for services and hardware provided.

Bellwether Technology Corporation filed suit against Southeast Community Health Systems Inc. (SCHS) in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Nov. 15.

Bellwether claims SCHS is delinquent in the amount of $60,092.94. The plaintiff alleges SCHS agreed to the terms of sales which included late payment fees and eventual referral to collections. Bellwether’s invoices included monthly services and installation of cameras and other hardware, the suit states.

Bellwether is suing for all damages suffered and all attorney’s fees and costs.

Bellwether is represented by Loretta G. Mince of New Orleans-based Fishman, Haygood, Phelps, Walmsley, Willis & Swanson LLP.

The case has been assigned to Division H Judge Michael Bageris.

Case no. 2013-10742.
