Photography studio sued for allegedly not repaying $299K in loans provided to start business

GRETNA – An engineering firm is suing a photography company for allegedly not repaying a loan it provided to start up the business.

Star Engineering Services Inc. filed suit against Jessica Roman Photography LLC and Jessica Murphy in the 24th Judicial District Court on Dec. 5.

Star Engineering Services Inc. claims it provided loans totaling $299,613.99 to Jessica Roman Photography and Murphy who made payments from June 2010 through August 2014. The plaintiff alleges that none of those loans have been paid back in full. On Nov. 19, 2014 Star Engineering Services Inc. contends they sent an invoice to Jessica Roman Photography and Murphy for the full repayment of any outstanding balance on the loans. However, the plaintiff asserts the defendants have not made any further payments.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

Damages in the amount of $299,613.99 is sought by the plaintiff.

Star Engineering Services Inc. is represented by attorney Timothy R. Richardson of New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Nancy A. Miller.
