GRETNA – A security and surveillance company is being sued by a steel fabrication company for allegedly installing the wrong cameras at their business and then failing to correct the problem.

Boes Iron Works filed suit against Tassin Integrated Systems Inc. in the 24th Judicial District Court on April 13.

Boes Iron Works asserts it  entered into a contract in which Tassin Integrated Systems Inc.was to provide their business with a top of the line security surveillance system including the installation of 10 high definition security cameras as well as other equipment. The plaintiff claims the total cost quote for the work was $9,395, but that the defendant issued them an invoice in the amount of $9,975 which they paid.

However, Boes Iron Works alleges shortly after the system was installed they noticed that the picture quality of the cameras was very poor and did not meet the high definition requirements in the contract. The plaintiff contends the defendant had actually installed lower definition cameras that cost a fraction of those they were supposed to install. Boes Iron Works asserts Tassin Integrated Systems Inc. promised to replace the cameras with the correct equipment, but never did and also failed to a request to remove the system and provide a refund.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract and fraud.

An unspecified amount in damages is sought for  return of the payment for the camera system, attorney’s fees and court costs.

Boes Iron Works is represented by Keith L. Magness of Gretna-based Law Office of Ketih L. Magness.

The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Michael P. Mentz.

Case no. 748-590.
