Fuel business sues Singapore company, alleging lack of payment

A fuel seller is suing a Singapore company, alleging the defendant owes money for vessel fuel.

Bunkers International Corporation, based in Florida, filed a lawsuit on Oct. 16 in U.S. District Court Eastern District of Louisiana against the M/V Wuchow, China Navigation Co. and the master of the M/V Wuchow, a Chinese ship, alleging lack of payment for fuel provided to the vessel.

According to the complaint, on Aug. 4, Bunkers provided fuel to the M/V Wuchow in an amount totaling $139,078.43. The amount was due Sept. 2, and Bunkers alleges it was never paid for the rendered services.

Bunkers International seeks the amount owed, litigation costs and other relief deemed appropriate by the court. It is represented by attorneys J. Stephen Simms and Marios J.
