NEW ORLEANS – A St. Charles Parish woman says she was injured during a collision with a postal service truck driven by an employee while he was on the job.

Chrisha Pool filed a lawsuit Dec. 10 in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against The U.S. Postal Service and Robert Fullerton II, alleging violations under the Federal Tort Claims Act.

According to the complaint, Fullerton, a postal service employee, was negligent in operating his work vehicle on July 9, 2013, when the wreck occurred. Pool claims the postal truck entered Airline Highway suddenly and without warning, striking the vehicle she was driving for EAN Holdings LLC.

Pool seeks damages for her injuries, medical expenses and physical impairment in an amount to be determined at trial. Information regarding her attorney was not provided.
