Drugs2

NEW ORLEANS – A Houston, Texas man using the drug Xarelto is suing the manufacturer of the drug, alleging negligence and fraud.

Basset Strauther filed a complaint on July 31 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against Janssen Research and Development LLC in connection to its drug Xarelto, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, Strauther was prescribed Xarelto to treat a medical condition, but was never told of all the risks which would be potentially affecting him during this time. Because of its dangerous nature, the drug manufacturer should have advertised the risks clearly, but it failed to do so. As a result, Strauther and other users have suffered from internal bleeding, death and many other conditions.

Strauther seeks compensation for all damages received, physical and financial. The plaintiff is represented by Seth Sharrock Webb of Brown and Crouppen PC in St. Louis. The case is being heard by Judge Eldon Fallon.
