Shopper alleges metal injured foot at Charming Charlie

GRETNA – An Orleans Parish woman is seeking damages, claiming that her foot was punctured while she was entering a store.

Angela Rattler filed a suit against Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. and Charming Charlie LLC in the 24th Judicial District Court on May 20.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was a customer at Charming Charlie LLC, located at 1126 S. Clearview Parkway on May 20, 2015, when the incident occurred. The suit states that while entering the store, the plaintiff's foot was punctured by a sharp metal strip that was part of the door.

The defendants are accused of omission and commission through its failure to prevent the danger, for the creation of such a perilous situation and other acts of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. She is represented by Randy G. McKee and Amelia D. Colomb of New Orleans. The case has been assigned to Division P Judge Lee V. Faulkner Jr.
