NEW ORLEANS — An Orleans Parish man is suing two law firms and staff members, alleging they committed perjury.
Robert Lucien Sr. filed a lawsuit June 10 in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against
Derrick Jones Sr., John M.Blanchard, The Law Office of John M.Blanchard, Charles R. Jones and The Dugan Law Firm,
alleging they violated the 1964 Civil Rights Act, breach of agreement, fraud, negligent misinformation and perjury.
According to the complaint, Lucien has suffered monetary losses for not collecting a debt of $200,000 that he says was embezzled by the late Quiana Jones. The plaintiff alleges the defendants concocted a scheme for allowing the receipt of the assets from the estate of the late Quiana Jones without paying its debt to Lucien. The suit says Derrick Jones, administrator for the estate of Quiana Jones, earlier agreed to repay the $200,000 debt owed by his deceased wife, but has breached the agreement and later refused to pay the debt.
Lucien seeks a trial by jury, judgment for all general and equitable relief, attorney fees legal costs and out of pocket expenses, plus penalties and interest. He is representing himself.
