GRETNA – A Jefferson Parish woman alleges that she was deceived prior to the purchase of a home that had she claims had numerous problems.
Lori Gremillion filed a suit against the succession of William H. Seither Jr., Deborah Bertucci Vicknair, Edward J. Bertucci Jr., Bruce B. Bertucci, Terri Bertucci, Gloria Bertucci Elfer, Michael J. Bertucci, Elizabeth Seither Canova, Ronnie Foy, David Foy and Robert Foy in the 24th Judicial District Court on June 1.
According to the claim, the plaintiff allegedly discovered upon moving into a property in River Ridge that was sold to her in 2015 by the defendants that there had been damages that were previously concealed and or misrepresented. The suit states that the damages included termite damage, plumbing problems, damaged gas lines and a concrete slab that was not to code, in addition to numerous other issues.
The defendant is accused of willful concealment, fraud and misrepresentation.
The plaintiff is seeking the restoration of the $131,000 cash she paid for the house in damages. She is represented by Wallace Kent Porter of Metairie.
The case has been assigned to Division C Judge June Berry Darrensburg.
