Tech-Con Systems Inc. alleges it was not paid for work on New Orleans home

NEW ORLEANS – An installation company is seeking damages, claiming that it was not paid for a completed job.

Tech-Con Systems Inc. filed a suit against Audra Haren Choate and Richard Choate in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on June 20.

According to the claim, the plaintiff began construction on a port-tensioning system on the defendants' New Orleans residence on Aug. 8, 2015, and completed the work on the property on Sept. 1, 2015. The suit states that despite the plaintiff completing the job as requested, the defendants have failed to make payment for more than $2,500.

The defendants are accused of failing to pay for the work completed by the plaintiff.

The plaintiff is seeking $2,752 in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Peyton R. Burkhalter of Metairie. The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Piper D. Griffin.
