Delgado Community College alleges that a former student has an open account

GRETNA – Delgado Community College claims that a man has failed to pay his balance in full.

The Louisiana Community and Technical College System through Delgado Community College filed a suit against Orlando Vernell Brooks in the 24th Judicial District Court on July 19.

According to the claim, the plaintiff allowed the defendant to enroll in classes for the Fall 2012 semester. The suit states that since then, the defendant has failed to pay off a balance of more than $1,300.

The defendant is accused of open account.

The plaintiff is seeking $1,334.60 in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Scott. L. Smith Jr. of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge. The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Raymond S. Steib Jr.
