NEW ORLEANS – A construction company claims that a client breached their contract.
Pastrana Construction LLC filed a suit against Ann Smith in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on July 21.
According to the claim, the defendant hired the plaintiff as a contractor for renovation work to be completed at her New Orleans home. The suit states that the defendant both changed her mind about specifics of the work outlined in the contract and failed to fully pay for the plaintiff's labor.
The defendant is accused of breach of contract, unjust enrichment and enforcement of lien.
The plaintiff is seeking $18,377.95 in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Kyle S. Sclafani of New Orleans.
The case has been assigned to Division E Judge Clare Jupiter.
