Unity Nursing & Rehab Center resident alleges assault by employee

NEW ORLEANS – A resident of a health care facility in New Orleans alleges he was sexually assaulted by an employee.

The unnamed plaintiff filed a suit against CPlace Unity SNF, LLC, doing business as and Unity Nursing & Rehab Center; Avis Williams; and Heather Schexnayder, also known as Heather Bauer, in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is disabled and resides at a facility operated by the defendant. The suit states he was sexually assaulted by an employee of the defendants and has been caused injured physically and mentally.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Justin M. Chopin and Richard A. Chopin of the Chopin Law Firm in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Paulette R. Irons.
