Woman alleges she tripped on equipment at Crescent City Health Care Center

NEW ORLEANS – A woman is seeking damages claiming that she slipped and fell on hospital equipment at a New Orleans facility.

Sylvia Algere filed a suit against Louisiana Health Care Consultants LLC, doing business as Uptown Healthcare Center LLC and doing business as Crescent City Health Care Center and Rockhill Insurance Co. in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was caused injury on April 17, 2015, when she tripped and fell on some hospital equipment at Crescent City Health Care Center at 1420 General Taylor St. The suit states that the fall caused the plaintiff injuries.

The defendants are accused of negligence through failing to properly maintain the premises and failing to keep the premises free of hazardous conditions.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. She is represented by Michael S. Brandner Jr. and Erica Lee Cortizas of the Brandner Law Firm in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division G Judge Robin M. Giarrusso.
