Woman says Target responsible for slip-and-fall injuries

GRETNA – A woman allegedly slipped and fell in a Target store and is seeking damages.

Stephanie Myles filed suit against Target Corporation and/or Target Corporate Services Inc. and ABC Insurance Company in the 24th Judicial District Court on September 8.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was at a Target store in Harvey on Sept. 9, 2015, when the incident occurred. The suit states that the plaintiff slipped and fell due to liquid on the floor near the jewelry case.

The defendant is accused of negligence through failing to post warning signs, failing to clean up the store and putting customers at unnecessary risk.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiff is represented by J. Nelson Mayer III and J. Nelson Mayer IV.

The case has been assigned to Division L Judge Donald A. Rowan Jr.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case number 764539.
