Delgado Community College seeks more than $2,000 from former student

NEW ORLEANS – A student is being sued by a community college for an allegedly open account.

The Louisiana Community and Technical College System through Delgado Community College filed a suit against Lawrence Hingle in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court.

According to the claim, the plaintiff admitted the defendant to the institution, but the plaintiff has not been paid for the defendant's enjoyment of the services provided for the Spring 2012 semester.

The defendant is accused of open account.

The plaintiff is seeking $2,712 in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Rokeya J. Morris of the Louisiana Department of Justice in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Paulette R. Irons.
