NEW ORLEANS – A Terrebonne Parish man alleges he was injured while acting as a captain and crewmember.

Johnny Dean Sr. filed a complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against Sea Supply Inc., Sea Supply Inc. COB and the Jessica Elizabeth alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 29, 2015, while in the course of his employment, he slipped and fell, causing him to sustain serious and debilitating injuries that caused him to suffer mental anguish, loss of earning capacity, disfigurement and medical expenses. The plaintiff holds Sea Supply Inc., Sea Supply Inc. COB and the Jessica Elizabeth responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to maintain the vessel and her appurtenances in a reasonable state of repair, failed to take reasonable precautions denied payment of maintenance and cure.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants for actual damages, prejudgment and post-judgment interest, punitive damages, attorney's fees, costs of suit and all other relief to which he may be entitled. He is represented by James Carter of James Carter & Associates LLC in New Orleans.
