Man is seeking damages, claiming that he fell from a faulty ladder

NEW ORLEANS – A man claims that he was injured when he fell from a faulty ladder.

Saturnino Carcamo Guevarra filed a suit against State Farm Insurance Co., Willie A. Peters, Sebastian Mendoza, ABC insurance company, the Three Brothers SM Construction LLC, DEF insurance company, John Doe and GHI insurance company in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Sept. 7.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was caused injury on Oct. 11, 2015 when he was on a ladder at the New Orleans home of Peters. The suit states that the plaintiff was caused to fall from the ladder, which was defective and resulted in multiple serious injuries.

The defendants are accused of negligence through providing the plaintiff with a faulty ladder, failing to warn of the ladder's defects and failure to provide a safe working environment.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. He is represented by John D. Redmann and Edward L. Moreno of the Law Office of John W. Redman in Grenta.

The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Ethel S. Julien
