GRETNA – The Louisiana Community and Technical College System alleges a former student has not paid his fees.
The Louisiana Community and Technical College System through Nunez Community College filed a suit against Gerald R. Chaney in the 24th Judicial District Court.
According to the claim, the plaintiff delivered services to the defendant that were valued at more than $1,800. The suit states that the defendant has still failed to pay the plaintiff back for the fees accumulated during the Spring 2009 semester.
The defendant is accused of open account against the plaintiff.
The plaintiff is seeking $1,844.10 in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Scott L. Smith Jr. of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.
The case has been assigned to Division J Judge Stephen C. Grefer.
