SHREVEPORT — Homeowner's association officers have filed a lawsuit against Caddo Parish Sheriff Steve Prator, Deputy Adam Jacobo and Deputy Marcus Jeansonne, law enforcement agents, citing alleged unlawful arrest and excessive use of force.
Ronnie Davis and Rebecca Davis, individually and on behalf of their minor child Kylie Davis, filed a complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana against the defendants alleging that the Caddo Parish Sheriff failed to properly train its deputies.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that, on Sept. 29, 2015, plaintiff Ronnie Davis was handcuffed, his arms were twisted, causing severe pain in his shoulder and neck, and was forcefully placed in a patrol car. He was booked and photographed and illegally arrested. The plaintiffs holds Caddo Parish Sheriff Steve Prator, Deputy Adam Jacobo and Deputy Marcus Jeansonne responsible because the defendants allegedly violated plaintiff Ronnie Davis right to be free, failed to properly and fully investigate and arrested him without probable cause.
The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against defendants in a reasonable amount to be set by the court, plus interest, compensatory damages, consequential damages, costs of court, attorney fees and such other relief as may be just. They are represented by Nelson W. Cameron of Nelson W. Cameron, Attorney at Law, in Shreveport.
