Former student alleged to owe fees to Delgado Community College

NEW ORLEANS – A student is being sued by a community college for an allegedly open account.

NEW ORLEANS – A student is being sued by a community college for an allegedly open account.

The Louisiana Community and Technical College System through Delgado Community College filed a suit against Kirk Douroux in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court.

According to the claim, the plaintiff provided services to the defendant in 2013 for the amount of more than $1,100. The defendant has allegedly failed to pay back the amount.

The defendant is accused of open account against the plaintiff.

The plaintiff is seeking $1,184.20 in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Scott L. Smith Jr. of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division E Judge Clare Jupiter.
