New Orleans Dental Center patient alleges tooth was damaged by dentist

GRETNA – A man claims that his tooth was damaged unnecessarily by a dentist.

Wayne Cheramie filed a suit against Dr. Wendy Maes, doing business as New Orleans Dental Center, in the 24th Judicial District Court on Oct. 5.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was a patient of the defendant. The suit states that the plaintiff visited the defendant and was told that an extraction of a tooth was necessary. However, the suit states that after the defendant damaged the tooth, the plaintiff was required to go see an oral surgeon due to the fault of the defendant.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Patrick G. Kehoe Jr. of New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division L Judge Donald A. Rowan Jr.
