GRETNA – A woman alleges her mother failed to uphold the terms agreed upon for a house.

Misty Wache filed a suit against Joy Level in the 24th Judicial District Court on Oct. 5 alleging unjust enrichment and fraud.

According to the claim, the plaintiff and defendant were two parties in a lease/purchase agreement for a home in Marrero in 2014. The suit states that the defendant was to pay the down payment and that the plaintiff would pay the mortgage for two years, then the defendant would sell the home to the plaintiff. The suit states, however, that the defendant breached the contract by failing to sell the home to the plaintiff and instead sold it to a private party.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. She is represented by Lorena McPahte Lisi of River Ridge.

The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Cornelius E. Regan.
