A condo association claims that a contractor failed to do the work that they were hired to do

NEW ORLEANS – A condo association is seeking damages, claiming that a contractor failing to complete work as they should have.

Pier 8 Condominium Association Inc filed a suit against BKS Construction LLC in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Sept. 9.

According to the claim, the plaintiff hired the defendant to complete certain duties. The suit states that the plaintiff became aware that the work done by the plaintiff had not been completed to satisfaction. Despite the plaintiff reaching out to the defendant about the defects in the work, the defendant failed to respond.

The defendant is accused of failing to complete the work outlined in the contract and failing to remedy the problems.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Thomas M. Beh.

The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Christopher J. Bruno.

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case number 16-9054.
