Delgado Community College alleges former student failed to pay fees

GRETNA – A community college claims that a former student failed to pay for attending.

The Louisiana Community and Technical College System through Delgado Community College filed a suit against Naera Shadine Polanco in the 24th Judicial District Court on Oct. 17.

According to the claim, the plaintiff admitted the defendant to the institution for the spring 2012 semester. The suit states that the defendant accumulated more than $1,400 in charges and failed to pay off the balance.

The defendant is accused of open account against the plaintiff.

The plaintiff is seeking $1,438.85 in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Meghan N. Beal of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division G Judge E. Adrian Adams.
