GRETNA – A woman is being sued for an allegedly open account at a community college.
Louisiana Community and Technical College System through Delgado Community College filed a suit against Courtney Marie Montalbano in the 24th Judicial District Court on Oct. 19.
According to the claim, the plaintiff admitted the defendant to the institute during the fall 2013 semester. The suit states that the defendant accumulated more than $1,600 in charges and has allegedly failed to make any payment on that account.
The defendant is accused of open account against the plaintiff.
The plaintiff is seeking $1,664.16 in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Meghan N. Beal of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.
The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Michael P. Mentz.
