GRETNA – A woman alleges her ex-husband has not paid spousal support.

Eva Marie Cannon filed a suit against Dante Cannon in the 24th Judicial District Court on Oct. 25.

According to the claim, the plaintiff and defendant were divorced in December 2013, during which time the defendant paid the plaintiff for support. The plaintiff is disabled, thus requiring support from her ex-husband, the suit states. The plaintiff alleges the parties made an oral agreement for the defendant to pay her $420 a month for three years if she would drop her request for permanent spousal support, but the defendant only paid that amount for 10 payments.

The defendant is accused of failure to pay spousal support.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Anundra Martin of Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Henry G. Sullivan Jr.
