Former Delgado Community College student accused of maintaining open account

NEW ORLEANS – A community college is seeking more than $1,200 from a former student.

Louisiana Community and Technical College System through Delgado Community College filed a suit against Raychon Alaina Allen in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Oct. 11.

According to the claim, the plaintiff allowed the defendant to attend the institution for the Fall 2012 semester. The plaintiff allegedly is owed more than $1,200.

The defendant is accused of open account.

The plaintiff is seeking $1,258.85 in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Scott L. Smith Jr. of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Regina Bartholomew Woods.
