GMF Construction LLC claims it is owed more than $70,000 for work

NEW ORLEANS – A construction company alleges it was not paid for work completed on a New Orleans project.

GMF Construction LLC filed a suit against Construction Masters Inc. and Hartford Accident and Indemnity Co. in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court.

According to the claim, the defendant entered into a subcontract with the plaintiff in which the plaintiff was to provide labor and services on the Stallings St. Claude Center and Pool. The suit states that the plaintiff completed the work but has not been paid as of yet for the work completed.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

The plaintiff is seeking $71,762.33 in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Thomas J. Lutkewitte and Conor T. Lutkewitte of Favret, Demarest, Russo, Lutkewitte and Schaumburg in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division J Judge Paula A. Brown.
