Ceco Concrete Construction alleges it is owed more than $110,000

NEW ORLEANS – An East Baton Rouge Parish construction company alleges it was not paid for work performed.

Ceco Concrete Construction LLC filed a suit against Federal Insurance Co., The Continental Insurance Co., Fidelity and Deposit Company of Maryland, Zurich American Insurance Co. and Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Oct. 28.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was subcontracted for a project in 2012 by Skanska MAPP for a medical center project. The suit states that the plaintiff both delivered the goods and services that it was contractually obligated to, but has not been reimbursed for what it delivered.

The defendants, who were Skanska MAPP's sureties, are accused of breach of contract.

The plaintiff is seeking $118,317.43 in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Scott C. Barney, John F. Olinde and Mary W. Dale of Chaffe McCall in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Christopher J. Bruno.
